Where the Idea Began

CuraNova was founded by a small team of biomedical engineers and clinicians who saw the same problem repeated across hospitals — apheresis technology hadn’t evolved to meet the precision and efficiency modern therapies demand. Manual adjustments, inconsistent separations, and limited data feedback created unnecessary variability in patient outcomes. Our founders began experimenting with adaptive algorithms that could respond to live patient data in real time. What started as a research project in a Boston lab evolved into a vision: bring artificial intelligence to the core of blood technology

Securing the Capital to Scale

After early proof-of-concept success, CuraNova attracted attention from a consortium of medtech investors and clinical innovation funds. Backed by seed investment from MedVentures Capital and supported by grants from MassBio’s Early Innovation Program, the team transitioned from prototype to production. This funding enabled the development of the first fully integrated AI-driven apheresis system, complete with adaptive flow control and clinical data analytics.

Preparing for Deployment

Today, CuraNova is finalizing regulatory validation and preparing for commercial deployment across leading hospital systems and research centers. Pilot installations are underway to collect real-world data and refine workflow integration with existing clinical platforms. Our focus remains on reliability, compliance, and clinician training — ensuring that when CuraNova launches globally, every system delivers consistent, safe, and measurable improvements in patient outcomes.
